Pre-heat oven at 375 degrees.
Rinse, peel and slice apples. I buy my apples from a local apple orchard that doesn't spray the trees otherwise I would peel the apples. Mix coconut sugar, flour & cinnamon. Mix with sliced apples & place into a baking pan. I used a traditional 8 inch pie pan, but any other baking dish that's a similar size will work well.
Mix all top layer ingredients accept add the softened butter. Mix the butter or coconut oil with the dry ingredients by rubbing both between your hands until its well combined, but mixture will still have small lumps.
Evenly distribute flour/oatmeal layer on top of the apple layer.
Bake apple crisp until apples are softened and top is browned but not burned. I check the doneness of the apples by piercing it with a fork.
Serve alone or add some whipped cream or whipped coconut sweetened with honey.
