Sausage Gravy

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Plain Ground Pork
  • 3/4 tsp Seasoned Salt If you don't have seasoned salt, see my recipe in previous post
  • 1 TBSP Rubbed Sage Dried Sage will also work
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • Salt To taste
  • 2 Cups Almond Milk
  • 3 TBSP Arrow Root Flour Mixed with 3 TBSP room temperature water

Instructions
 

  • Cook unthawed Ground Pork in a medium sized frying pan, cut into small pieces while it's cooking.
  • After the meat is cooked, add the almond milk and spices. Place on medium heat till hot, but not simmering. Mix arrow root flour and water and stir into the sausage gravy to thicken. Taste and add salt if needed.
  • Most people serve sausage gravy with biscuits but it's also delicious with scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and/or chicken fried steak, my favorite. Until I come up with a biscuit recipe that I can eat I will serve it with those options!
