My name is Emma Hobbs: Registered Nurse since 2005, Health Coach, and healthy recipe blogger. As a result of my nursing experiences over the years I started making healthier choices in my every day life which included changing the types of food that I ate. I cut out all processed foods & started making most foods from scratch. Over the years, I developed a passion for cooking/baking dishes made from whole foods that were not only delicious but also healthy.
In January 2012, I decided to leave nursing in the traditional sense. In the next few years I worked several different nursing jobs, none of which felt right for me. I did work as a wellness nurse with an insurance company, but even at this position we mostly spoke with patients about the traditional western medicine. In the last couple years I’ve completely left the nursing in the traditional sense, assisted my husband with his business, started gardening and continued my recipe development. During this time my passion for healthy food & nutrition related to our health became more than just a passion, I knew that I wanted to use my knowledge to help people .
As a nurse I have seen the short term & long term health issues that arise due to the very unhealthy food & lifestyle habits that are so prevalent in our society. Many of my patients had health conditions that either could’ve been prevented or at least greatly improved their health with dietary changes. Therefore I decided to start a blog/website dedicated to healthy recipes, meal plans, nutrition info & other resources related to whole foods.
