BARBECUE SPICE RUB
Smoked barbeque rub for pot roasts & more!
Believe me when I say that this barbecue rub is all that and more, packed with chili flavors along with smoked Spanish style paprika and chipotle spices. It is packed with flavor and perfect for a spicy twist to your weeknight meals. A couple weeks ago, I used it for a picnic roast at a friend’s fashion party and it was a big hit. Whatever dish you add this spice combination to, I’m sure that it will be savored by all. This barbecue rub brings a new flair to your Fall & Winter comfort meals. Some of my favorite ways to use it is rubbing it onto pork roasts and adding a couple teaspoons to your favorite burger. I have already posted a very easy recipe for a pork picnic roast.
This recipe makes 1.5 cups and I store it in an airtight container and place it in the pantry with my other spices, but remember to label it that way you won’t forget what spices you used for this recipe. A couple years ago, I made this spice blend for ribs but I never wrote down how I made it therefore I had to figure it out all over again Lesson learned, I now label ALL glass jars with weird things in it and write down ALL my recipes even if it’s just an ingredient list.
If you make this recipe I would love to hear from you! Thank you for visiting my 2nd favorite place, Emma’s Daily Bread. Cheers to a happy & healthy day!
